FAQs

Returns Policy

We are sure that you will love your new piece of jewellery and we will do all that we can to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. Due to the fact that all items are made to order, we are unable to offer returns.  Of course should you deem the item to be faulty upon arrival or within 60 days of purchase we will offer a free repair service.

Everything we create is made with care and built to last however sometimes (due to every day wear and tear) damage can occur to the piece.  We will repair items after the 60 day period but at a cost to the client which will be made known before works begin.  Anvil and Ivy reserve the right to refuse to process the return of any item that we do not deem to be faulty.

We recommend (particularly for rings with gemstone settings) that you periodically check over the claws or settings for any loose or caught parts of the metal.  Wear and tear is a normal occurrence in jewellery and is to be expected. It is recommended that all jewellery deemed high value or with a gemstone over 0.20ct in weight, be insured under your household insurance for loss or theft as Anvil and Ivy will not be liable or responsible for such losses.

Production Lead times

We are currently running at a lead time of around 2-4 weeks for core collections and webshop orders. For engagement and wedding ring collections this can be up to 8 weeks. Bespoke can vary between 6-12 weeks depending on complexity of the project.

Bespoke orders

Bespoke orders cannot be returned due to the unique process that each order requires. Once a deposit has been paid and the details of the order agreed, the customer will be liable for any costs incurred should they wish to cancel the order before completion. The deposit is non refundable even if the order is cancelled before work commences.

How do I choose the correct ring size?

Choosing the correct ring size for yourself or others can be tricky. We highly reccomend getting your finger sized measured with us in-store or with any High Street Jeweller. If this is not an option we have a printable ring size chart that will help you to get an approximate size.

Delivery to the UK

All items are sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery services. Each order will be sent with the relevant insurance value. Special delivery is a very reliable service and please be assured that should anything go missing we will be able to either track down or be reimbursed for the value of this item. This may however take some time so in the rare event that an order is misplaced please do be patient. We will do everything in our power to locate or replace your item as quickly as possible.

Delivery to the EU

Due to the UK leaving the EU there have been some changes to the import taxes charged to the customer. This will depend on the VAT tax rate in your country and will be in addition to any postage costs that we charge the customer for shipping the order. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to pay the VAT charges and Anvil and Ivy is not liable for these costs. Please do make sure to take this additional tax charge into account when placing your order.

Do you offer Gift Vouchers?

Yes absolutely, we offer printable and physical gift vouchers which have a 6 month expiry date. These can be purchased :here:

Jewellery Care

Our products are made to last, using only the finest materials. Sterling silver naturally oxidises (goes black/grey) over time. The best way to prevent this from happening is to wear your jewellery regularly, store it in an airtight container or box when not in use and to avoid harsh chemicals that can cause a reaction. Should your metal oxidise or discolour it is possible to repolish with a silver/gold polishing cloth or dip. Get in touch if your jewellery has become heavily oxidised or scratched as it may need a professional repolish.
